(I know this is far off from the show, but bear with me)

Dot and Wakko stayed hidden in the shadows of the bedroom as the voice of their father echoed up from downstairs, a dark aura descending with it from the vehemence in his words. They could not hear Yakko at all, only he hateful words occasionally tipped with the shrill cries from their mother. Yakko was down there, they knew. He was enduring the whole force of their father's rage-filled words. Words like 'discrace', 'disgusting'... phrases like "you did this just to spite me', 'get the hell out of those clothes', 'you've ruined our family'.... The two did not understand. They knew what this was about, how he found out about how their brother 'liked to be with other boys' how he dressed funny. But to them, when they were confided in with Yakko's secret, they only giggled. It was funny to them. It was always something that kids joked about. But now this was something else. When dad saw him sneaking in after handing out with his friends from school, it inspired him to thrash into a fury the likes of which they had never seen before from him. Their mother howled in sorrow in response to the secret. It was terrifying.

"Get out of my face..."

Yakko came in, silently into the dark bedroom. He spoke not a word, just shuffled over to the big bed. He had knoen that this day would come eventually and he would have to weather the far-reaching consequences it would bring. He had held on bravely to his composure, but barely. Exhausted, and with a tense, cold feeling inside his chest, he slowly laid down on the banket. After lying for a short bit, he felt Wakko and Dot curl up beside him. They had been very frightened by what they heard. To them, they could not understand. They were too young to see the significance of what their brother's interests meant. But being too young to understand, they were too young to pass judgement. All they saw was their father in blinding rage over something they saw as 'just funny'. Most of all they saw their older brother in pain.

Yakko put his arms around his two siblings, moved that he still had a small circle of simple love around him.

This one is in response to 2 things. One was the deletion of some of my drawings by DA, accompanied by insults from other deviants for drawing queer toons. The other is in mind with my own struggles as I try to cope with unacceptance with my family for my homosexuality.

I want to do 2 things with this picture. I want it to encourage people: reach out to anywone in your family struggling with acceptance, THEY DO NOT CHOOSE TO BE LIKE THIS. Who would choose to live through such suffering, to have their family reject or even disown them? To live a lifestyle condemmned as evil and gross by the rest of society for no logical or scientific reason other than predjudice? The second thing I want this drawing to do is to reach out to those queers who have to suffer thorugh this. YOU ARE NOT EVIL. Evil is malicious, with intent, and designed to hurt others. YOU ARE NOT WEAK OR PITIFUL. You have to be very strong to face the truth of being gay in this world. Hold on. Ignore those who hate, embrace those who care.

:boogie: :pride: :boogie:

You are equal.

I wish I'd have had someone like this when I was forced to come out to my parents. I didn't even have my mate because my mom forced me to break up with him. He and I got back together 2 weeks later, but those 2 weeks without him or anyone who understood me was hell.

This is just so beautiful and heartwarming.

I kinda understand some of the lack of understanding...but it's quite hard to explain.

I am sorry to hear for your drawings.

dA taking down pieces of art that are properly marked and don't break the ToS or EUA is most uncool.

I love Yakko's shirt...actually, what I really love is how you manage to build deeper, more complex characters out of the Warner siblings.

Thank you a great deal, especially since this drawing tends to get a huge lot of negative reactions because of this depth.

I've mixed feelings about homosexuality (which 10% of the population are ). (1) There are those who hate their homosexuality and (2)There are those who practice NO restraint whatsoever. The latter should be severely punished UNLESS they already punished themselves by getting "gay gut syndrome" or AIDS. I wonder if type (1) have ever considered the option of getting castrated as to eliminate their sexuality altogether. They should NOT get married let alone having children as they might inherit the tendency.

If Yakko is just a cross-dresser, well, THAT I can understand. There ARE those who feel happier dressing like that. I CAN tell a cross-dresser from an ordinary: a man has a coarser more rugged skin than a woman. There have been 2 people in my life whose gender I was never sure of, tho.

What I have trouble accepting is the idea of the Warners having ANY parents, or any origin apart from that given in the film footage that opens each Animaniacs show. The "Burbank Confession" presents the strongest case otherwise. It calls out for a sequel, tho. (see Fanfics)

I might add that farmers have little use or patience with homosexual livestock. One farmer had purchased a boar for breeding. Assured it was a fine stud, he was bewildered and frustrated when it showed no interest in sows under any conditions. Finally he cut the animal's throat and ripped its belly open ! I think he sued the supplier for selling him a homosexual boar.

(In closing I will mention a pic from my MONSTERS pic file (showing cryptids, THINGS washed up on beaches, possible hoaxes, sightings aliens and unexplained phenomena). It's a giant boar (Hogzilla ?) the size of a rhinoceras, that was shot. It may have been extremely vicious and a potential killer and eater of small children, and a pig THAT big has NO right to live.)
